Step 1: Create Your HeyZinc Account
Getting started takes less than a minute.
Head over to HeyZinc and create your account using Google Sign-In.
Once you’re logged in, you’ll be presented with the onboarding wizard that guides you through the entire setup process.
The goal of the wizard is simple:
Generate an AI agent that’s already customized for your business.
No prompt engineering required.
No complicated configuration required.
Just answer a few questions and HeyZinc handles the rest.

Step 2: Tell HeyZinc About Your Business
The first thing the setup wizard asks for is information about your company.
You have two options:

If you already have a website, simply paste the URL.
HeyZinc will analyze your website and automatically generate:

Option 2: Describe Your Business
Don’t have a website yet?
No problem.
You can simply provide a short description of your company, product, or service.
HeyZinc will use that information to generate the initial setup.
Click Next to continue.
Step 3: Name Your AI Agent
Now it’s time to create your agent’s identity.
You’ll be asked for:
- Agent name
- Agent description
This doesn’t need to be perfect.
For example:

These details help define how your AI agent introduces itself and interacts with visitors.

Step 4: Let HeyZinc Generate Everything Automatically

Once it’s ready, you’ll have two choices:

Most users can leave everything exactly as generated.
The prompt is already tailored to your business information.
Customize the Prompt
Advanced users can edit the prompt to:
- Change personality
- Adjust tone
- Add instructions
- Modify lead qualification criteria
When you’re happy with the result, click Finish.
Your AI agent is now ready.
Worth revisiting later: tone, personality, and qualification rules are easy to refine once the first version is live.
Step 6: Test Your Agent
Before adding the agent to your website, it’s a good idea to test it.
Navigate to the testing section and click Talk to Agent.

For example:
- What does your company do?
- How much does it cost?
- Do you support phone calls?
- Can I schedule a demo?
The AI will respond using the information generated during setup.
This gives you an opportunity to verify that:
- The answers are accurate

If something doesn’t look right, you can always return to the configuration page and make adjustments.
What to watch for: wrong tone, vague answers, or missing business details usually mean the prompt needs a small edit before launch.
Step 7: Enable Human Handoff

Step 8: Add HeyZinc to Your Website
Now it’s time to make your agent public.
Open the Widget section in your HeyZinc dashboard.
Before installing the widget, make sure the Embed Channel is enabled.
Once enabled:
- Open the Install tab
- Copy the widget script
- Add it to your website
If you’re using a developer, simply send them the code snippet.
If you’re adding it manually, place the script immediately before the closing body tag.
After deploying your website, the HeyZinc chat widget should appear automatically.

By default, you may only see the chat experience.
To enable voice conversations:
- Return to your HeyZinc dashboard’s widget config
- Enable the voice channel in chat modes
- Save your changes
Refresh your website.
You’ll now see the voice option available within the widget.
Visitors can immediately start talking to your AI agent using voice.
This creates a much more natural experience than traditional chat alone.
